2020 Gala Update:
The role of the Texas Biomed and the Forum has never been more evident than today as researchers continue to work towards finding treatments and cures for infectious diseases like COVID-19. The Forum’s financial contributions directly support the work of these scientists. We should all be proud to support such great work.
We hope to paint a clearer picture of the 50th Anniversary Gala details in April. We have faith that the stars will align for the the night when we all gather to celebrate together. Thank you for your continued support.
Please stay tuned for more details.
Texas Biomedical Forum Gala
May 02, 2020
Since 1970, the members of the Forum have been organizing and hosting San Antonio’s premier spring formal fundraiser in support of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute.
Each Gala has it’s own theme, carefully selected by the volunteer chairs. The event, historically held the first Saturday in May at The Argyle, attracts over 500 attendees. Guest enjoy mingling during cocktail hour and pre-dinner entertainment. The multi-course dinner exquisitely prepared by The Argyle is a feast to behold before guests head to the air-conditioned tent to enjoy the after dinner festivities. Dancing, casino games and a legendary “After Party” event make this a night to remember year after year.
With each passing year, the Gala organizers’ efforts and creativity exceed the expectations of the guests, making it the city’s most anticipated spring event. In the summer, the Forum presents the event proceeds to Texas Biomed, which funds research scientists’ pilot study grants.
